“Culture gap” rears its ugly head

I think people around my age start to become distinctly aware that their music has slowly shuffled into the “oldies” category. We cling on to the handful few who are still considered “hip” and “modern” (Britney Spears), but others (NSync? Backstreet Boys?) we’re too ashamed to mention, because that conversation inevitably leads to “remember that single that came out [a long time ago]“.

But yeah omg Angie went to a 90s themed party the other night, and I was like, Wait, 90s is a party theme already?? How can we be that old?!
